Federkontakte werden auch Pogo Pin oder SLC (Spring Loaded Contact) genannt. Die Kontaktierung (das Schließen des elektrischen Stromkreises) wird nicht wie bei konventionellen Steckverbindern durch das Einstecken eines Stiftes in eine Buchse erzeugt, sondern durch Antastung mittels eines federunterstützten Stiftes. Vorteil dieser Technik ist eine hohe Funktionssicherheit bei einer sehr hohen Zyklenanzahl.

While the regular pogo pin is designed for vertical movement, we developed a special design for lateral movement. It is based on the bias tail design. The bias tail of plunger creates lateral force and better contact.The matting side can be a circular track for a 360° strong rotation. It’s a best solution for product display, rotating camera and robot, etc.

Elektronische Geräte werden immer kleiner, schneller und effizienter. Diese Miniaturisierung stellt höchste Anforderungen an die Fertigungstechnik, denn immer mehr Funktionen müssen in die kleinen Geräte integriert werden. Das neue Federkontaktdesign mit integriertem Schraubgewinde am Kolben, hilft diesen Anforderungen gerecht zu werden.

Neben der Funktion als Schraube, können auch Leistungs- und Signalströme übertragen werden.

Das Schraubgewinde kann bei allen kundenspezifischen Federkontakten mit einer Kolbenlänge ab 3,5mm integriert werden. Der Nennstrom beträgt dabei 1A und der Kontaktwiderstand 200 μΩ.

Die Federkontakte sind mit mind. 5 µin Gold beschichtet und haben eine Lebensdauer von mindestens 10.000 Zyklen.

Anwendungsbereiche

Anwendung finden Federkontakte im Bereich der Strom- und Datenübertragung wie z.B.: in Akku-Ladestationen und Batteriefächern von elektronischen Geräten (Docking Station), speziell in Kommunikationsgeräten, wie Smart Phones, Tablet PC und Laptops und zur Erdung an Gehäusen. Besonders eignen Sie sich für die Kontaktierung von unebenen Oberflächen.

Ein Federkontaktstift besteht aus 3 Teilen: einem Kolben, einer Feder und einer Stifthülse. Mehrere Federkontaktstifte können in einem Kunststoffgehäuse zu einem Federkontaktkonnektor zusammengefügt werden. Es sind verschiedene Standardversionen verfügbar (Übersichtstabellen). Zusätzlich können auch kundenspezifische Konnektoren in Bezug auf Rastermaß, Pinanzahl und Gehäuseabmessungen realisiert werden. Unterschiedliche Anschlussformen erlauben eine Vielzahl von Montagemöglichkeiten auf SMD bestückbaren Leiterplatten.

Design Varianten

Um einen 100% Kontakt des Kolbens mit der Stifthülse zu garantieren, wird das Bias-Design eingesetzt. Bei diesem Design wird der Kolben an seinem Ende in einem Winkel von bis zu 18° angeschrägt und so in die Stifthülle eingesetzt. Dadurch wird bei Betätigen des Federkontaktstiftes ein 100% Kontakt des Kolbens mit der Stifthülse gewährleistet. Dies reduziert die Signalstörung in Folge von Vibrationen signifikant. Das Bias Design wird bei fast allen Federkontaktstiften ab einer Länge von 3,5mm angewandt.

Bei kleineren Bauweisen wird das sogenannte Back Drill Design angewandt. Um die kundenspezifisch gewünschte Federkraft zu erreichen, ist bei diesem Design die eingesetzte Feder länger als der hohle Kolben.

Bei hohen Anforderungen an die Stromtragfähigkeit (> 3A) und Vibrationsbeständigkeit wird das Bias Design um das 4P-Design ergänzt.

Wenn der Kolben und die Stifthülse eines Federkontaktstiftes sich bei hohen Strömen durch zu geringe Lateralkräfte nicht richtig verbinden, kann es zum verglühen der Druckfeder kommen. Um dies auszuschließen werden beim 4P-Design die bisherigen drei Komponenten eines Federkontaktstiftes (Kolben, Druckfeder und Hülse) um einen Edelstahlball als vierte Komponente ergänzt. Dieser Ball wird zwischen dem Kolben und der Druckfeder integriert. Der Stromfluss wird über den Edelstahlball auf die Hülse leitet, zudem wird die Signalstörung in Folge von Vibrationen signifikant reduziert. Alternativ zum Edelstahlball kann im 4P-Design auch eine Kappe eingesetzt werden.

    Beschichtung

    Der Federkontaktstift wird mit Gold beschichtet, da es eine exzellente elektrische Leitfähigkeit hat und einen hohen Schutz vor Korrosion und Oxidation bietet. Die Stifthülse und der Kolben werden üblicherweise doppelt beschichtet (zunächst mit Nickel 1-2μm und anschließend mit Gold 0,1-1μm). Die Feder wird entweder mit Gold oder mit Silber beschichtet. Applikationsspezifisch sind auch andere Edelmetallbeschichtungen des Kolbens möglich (Palladium, Rhodium, etc.).

    Federkontakte mit Bestückungskappe für die automatische Bestückung

    Auf Kundenwunsch können wir fast alle Federkontakte kostengünstig mit Bestückungskappen liefern. Und das sowohl für einzelne Pins, als auch für komplette Federkontakt Konnektoren. Die Federkontakte werden dabei auf Rolle geliefert und sind somit einfach in der automatisierten Leiterplattenbestückung zu verwenden.

    Wasserdichte Steckverbinder mit Federkontakten

    Durch verschiedene Konstruktionen können die Steckverbinder Schutzklassen von IPx5 bis IPx8 erfüllen. Dabei werden die Federkontakte entweder direkt umspritzt oder mit speziellen Dichtungen ergänzt bzw. vergossen.

    Magnetische Steckverbinder



    Ein magnetischer Steckern besteht aus Federkontaktstiften und einem magnetischen Verbindungssystem. Die Implementierung eines Magneten sorgt für eine schnelle schock- und vibrationsbeständige, sowie selbstführende Verbindung bzw. einfache Lösung von Stecker und Gerät. Durch die Federkontakte können nicht nur Ladestrom, sondern auch alle andere Arten von Signalen übertragen werden. Die Kontaktpunkte werden im Gerät mit der Platine verlötet.
