What are push buttons?
Pushbuttons are switches that are activated by pressing a button or key. This closes an electrical circuit, triggering an action. As soon as the pressure is released, the circuit breaks, and the action ends.
These buttons are often used in areas such as public spaces or machine control. Vandal-resistant push buttons are particularly indispensable in these areas. They offer reliable operation and are easy to find. They often control commands such as "start," "stop," or "reverse." Standard models can handle up to 5 amps. However, there are also versions that can handle 10 amps.
How to customize your push buttons
Our push buttons are easily customized to meet your needs. You can:
- Have pressure hoods engraved or printed,
- choose different case colors,
- and set up multi-colored status indicators with multicolor LEDs.
Furthermore, the buttons are made of robust plastic or metal. They can be installed in front panels or housings. Thanks to special seals, the push buttons achieve protection classes of IP68 or IP69K. Their service life is up to 1 million actuations.
Why Piezo Switches Are an Alternative
Piezo switches are ideal for a longer service life. They are made of stainless steel and require no mechanical parts. This reduces wear and tear and dirt buildup. They also withstand more than 50 million cycles, making them virtually maintenance-free. These switches are particularly ideal for areas that require protection against vandalism or in harsh environmental conditions.
