Polyester switching foils as a cost-effective alternative
For special cost-sensitive applications we offer double-sided polyester switch foils as an alternative to rigid or flexible circuit boards. These innovative circuits are particularly economical and yet reliable.
- production method: The circuit layout is applied to both sides of the film using screen printing technology.
- through-hole plating: The connection between the layers is made by means of a special conductive paste (through-hole technology).
- protection of the silver conductors: To prevent silver migration, the conductor tracks are covered with an overlapping carbon paste.

Circuit board with silicone safety mat
We supply both silicone keymats as well as the matching PCBs, which enables a direct and reliable switching function The switch mat is placed directly on the circuit board underneath, which ensures precise and long-lasting operation.
For applications that require particularly high reliability, we recommend gold-plated contact surfaces on the circuit board. These ensure stable conductivity and a long service life. Alternatively, screen-printed carbon is often used because it is not only particularly cost-effective but also extremely chemical-resistant.
In order for the switching function to work optimally, the contact area of the circuit board should be at least 0,5 mm larger in every direction than the contact area of the keyboard. For special applications, such as rocker switches or keys with metal domes, we ask you to submit the circuit board contact circuit to us so that we can develop the optimal solution for your requirements.

Hotmelt molding process
The hot melt molding process, also known as low-pressure injection molding, reliably protects sensitive electronic components such as circuit boards, sensors and many other components from negative environmental influences. Since this process is particularly gentle on the material, it is ideal for sensitive components that require a long-lasting and resistant protective layer.
In hot melt molding, the components are first placed in a specially made mold. Then molten plastic envelops the entire component and spreads evenly. By carefully selecting different materials, a variety of specific requirements can be met. The process not only improves flexibility, impact resistance and shock absorption, but also increases moisture resistance and tightness. This means that the components are particularly resistant to water, dust and other environmental influences.
In addition, the process enables the material to be specifically adapted to ensure high resistance to UV radiation and chemicals. This makes it particularly valuable for applications in demanding industrial environments or outdoors. The color of the plastic can also be individually selected to meet optical or functional requirements.
Hot melt molding offers a versatile and effective solution for providing long-term protection for electronic components against corrosion, environmental influences and mechanical stress. Companies benefit from a robust technology that is ideal for use in difficult environments with high humidity or strong temperature fluctuations.
