The unique design of the rolling pin spring contacts allows reliable contacting between two components during lateral and rotating movements. In contrast to conventional spring contacts, the rolling pin relies on a plunger, which is supplemented by an integrated ball in the pin tip. This guarantees a precise and stable connection and minimizes any interference.
So far, currents of up to 2A have been achieved in a miniature range of less than 10mm overall length, with 1A being the standard. With the new rolling pin SVPC-RP-P08435PP1 however, an even higher performance is achieved. This miniature contact enables reliable transmission of charging currents up to 3A as well as signals and all this with a total length of only 6,9mm, of which 1,7mm is for the soldering pin. The piston diameter of 3,4mm ensures an exact and stable connection.
With a spring force of 85g and a service life of at least 10.000 contact cycles, the pin is very reliable and always guarantees a stable connection, even under demanding conditions. The miniature contact is perfect for THT assembly and can be supplied with an optional cap for automated PCB assembly.
