Our goal is to meet the increasing demands for fast charging times in high-current applications in order to meet miniaturization requirements. For this reason we have developed a new high-current spring contact that can handle up to 15A rated current. Compared to our standard brass material, the SVPC-P-P5650FH05 contact is made of copper tellurium. It is plated with a 20 microinch layer of gold over nickel to ensure excellent electrical conductivity. At the same time, the coating protects against corrosion and oxidation.
The SVPC-P-P5650FH05 has a spring force of 120 g and a minimum service life of 10.000 contact cycles. It is optimally suited for through-hole mounting and can be integrated into a customer-specific miniature connector. With a length of only 9,61 mm and a central piston diameter of 2,41 mm, the spring-loaded contact is particularly compact. Optionally, it can be supplied with a cap for automated PCB assembly.
This spring contact is ideal for chargers that require power over wires or board-to-board connections. The compact design makes it particularly attractive for use in housings with limited space and high packing density.
