Magnetic circular connectors are particularly effective in medical technology, where high hygienic requirements apply. By integrating a magnet, a self-guiding connection is created that can handle even difficult plug-in situations without much effort.
The contact surfaces of the plugs are designed to be extremely flat and small, so that there are no depressions and grooves like with conventional contour plugs. This makes them particularly interesting for applications in the medical environment, as conventional plug-in systems with elevations, gaps and gaps pose a high risk of contamination.
Charging currents of up to 15A per pin are transmitted via integrated spring contacts. By being directly encapsulated with plastic or sealed with elastomer materials, the constructed magnetic connectors achieve a protection class of up to IPx8. This ensures that the connector is protected against moisture and water ingress and can therefore be used in environments where reliability and durability are crucial.
In addition, magnetic connections are shock and vibration resistant, which ensures perfect and safe functionality. The magnetically defined release mechanism prevents damage to the device due to unwanted pulling on the cable and minimizes mechanical wear caused by frequent plugging and unplugging.
