Custom connectors with spring contacts

Manufacturing of customized connectors based on spring contacts

Custom connectors with spring contacts and pogo pins

In addition to a wide range of standard solutions, we develop and manufacture custom connectors, which are consistently tailored to your application. The focus is on a clear approach: the application does not adapt to the connector, but rather the connector is designed precisely to meet the requirements of the application.

For example, it is possible to multiple spring contacts with different working heights to be integrated into a compact plastic housing. Custom connector housings can also be created. any shape They can be accepted and precisely adapted to existing installation spaces.

Even in the design phase, we consider all relevant influencing factors such as installation space, assembly processes, material selection, and series production. The result is custom-designed connector systems, which are not only technically convincing, but can also be implemented in an economically efficient manner.

Our portfolio includes:

  • Particularly small connectors for space-critical applications
  • Waterproof solutions (IPX6/IPX7) for protection against moisture
  • connectors with rolling pins for lateral and rotational movements
  • Magnetic connectors for secure and intuitive connections
  • Special solutions for high-current applications with optimized conductivity
  • Spring contact connectors with special coatings

More than just connectors – complete assembly solutions

We not only produce individual customer-specific connectors, but also handle the development and manufacturing. complete assemblies including cable assemblyThis gives you a ready-to-install solution from a single source – optimally tailored to your requirements and processes.

Spring contacts provide an ideal basis for implementing sophisticated connection solutions. They enable the realization of magnetic connector systems as well as direct integration into housings and functional assemblies.

Our team develops economical, technically sophisticated solutions that are precisely tailored to your application. We combine the highest quality standards with maximum functionality and efficient series production.

Waterproof connectors with spring contacts

Normally, pressing the contacts into the plastic housing is the common method used to achieve IP54 sealing.

For more demanding installation situations in which higher protection classes of IPx7 or higher are required, we offer different connector designs Pins can either be supplemented with O-ring seals or directly overmolded with plastic and/or sealed with elastomer materials. Overmolding allows the connector to take on a customized shape and integrate sockets and plug-in devices, reducing assembly time and costs.

Spring contacts offer the advantage of a small pitch, high integration density and long service life as well as a shock and vibration resistant connection. In particular, spring contacts with the Super AP coating interesting because they have increased resistance to salt water, perspiration and electrolysis.

Our waterproof connectors are used in mobile tracking and navigation devices outdoors as well as in medical technology and industry. Please note that the protection class achieved always depends on the installation situation.

Hotmelt process: Maximum protection for sensitive components

To protect electronic components such as circuit boards, sensors, or microelectronics from harmful environmental influences, we rely on the proven hot-melt process. This encapsulation technology provides reliable sealing and is ideal for applications exposed to moisture, dirt, or strong vibrations.

By combining different materials, we adapt the connectors individually to your requirements. In doing so, we take into account important properties such as:

  • Flexibility and impact resistance for robust connections
  • High shock absorption and moisture resistance for long-lasting use
  • UV protection and chemical resistance to withstand even extreme conditions
  • Sealing mechanisms to prevent contamination and corrosion

In addition, potting technology allows the integration of functional elements such as bores, screw threads or special seals to make the connectors even more versatile.

Checklist: Is your connector optimally designed for your application?

Use the following questions as a decision-making aid to determine whether a standard solution is sufficient or whether a custom development makes sense.

Checklist for download >>

Requirements & Operating Conditions

First, clearly and completely define all electrical requirements – that is, current, voltage, and signal transmission. Then, consider how many mating cycles are expected over the entire life cycle and simultaneously examine the environmental conditions to which the connector will be exposed, such as temperature, humidity, or vibration.

Mechanics & Integration

Analyze whether the available installation space is used optimally and whether the connector can be directly integrated into a housing or assembly. Also consider whether any mechanical tolerances or movements occur that need to be taken into account in the design.

Assembly & Processes

Assess the current assembly effort and check whether the number of components or interfaces can be reduced. Also consider whether the existing solution is suitable for automated manufacturing processes or whether there is potential for optimization.

Cost effectiveness

Don't just consider the unit costs, but also the total cost of ownership (TCO) over the entire product lifecycle. Identify potential savings in areas such as assembly, logistics, and quality assurance, and simultaneously examine whether the supply chain can be simplified.

Optimization potential

Question whether the application is currently being adapted to the connector – or whether adapting the connector to the application would be more sensible. Also check whether there are any functional limitations due to the existing solution and whether a customer-specific alternative has already been considered.
